Raquel's story and now Raq's Homes future!
On September 13, 2013, Raquel suffered a brain aneurysm and was rushed to Tufts Medical Center. After 34 days, she was transferred over to Spaulding Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Brian, sons Cody and Austin and the rest of her family remain continuously by her side. Sadly after many months which included Raquel being moved back to Tufts for an additional surgery and to Spaulding Rehab as well as to Crotched Mountain Rehab her final stay with us on earth was at the Hospice House, Merrimack NH. She left us with her loving men by her side.
Raquel grew up in Bedford, NH and then moved to Merrimack, NH where she was a graduate of Merrimack HS, Class of ‘88. For the past 20 years Raquel has lived in NH, VT and MA with her husband and sons.
Much Love to All! Thank you for your support.

A Message From Brian:
Raquel “Raq” Bogardus was the love of my life. We met 26 years ago and her life tragically ended on 9/13/13 and she passed into spirit on 4/2/14. The “Team Roxy” Facebook page is dedicated to her larger than life persona as she touched all that she met throughout her life. Raq truly had a “Heart of Gold.” The page evolved from updating family and friends on the status of her recovery efforts to a page that will now be a beacon of light, love, hope and support for all those traversing their own challenging life events.
Raq’s Home for ABI/TBI and Aneurysm Awareness will be our non-profit foundation that will be the vehicle employed to help all those that will travel a similar path. The page will update everyone on “all things” concerning Raq’s Home from fundraising efforts to future stories of how the foundation has helped others in their time of need. My own saying of “I Believe” has evolved from “Believing” that Raq would one day come home to me and our boys to I “Believe” that there is a purpose for her tragic illness and passing. Raq is now truly “Home” and she is always with me in spirit and guiding me every step of the way on my new journey in life without her. Raq has placed so many wonderful people in my path to help “US” accomplish our new calling. With us it was always Much Love “ML” and “Later” as there are truly “no goodbyes.” Please help us “effect change” by making a positive, impactful difference in this world; please join us on our new journey. ML--- Brian, Raq and "The Boys"
